I'm all for memorabilia. Although the idea of buying commemorative items is not for me, what people put in their own space doesn't impact my life. Have at it. But, in this case, this item seems a little crazy. Basketball and/or President Obama fans may appreciate this though. It's no secret the 44th President of the United States loves basketball. History proves he played the game in high school and continues to play it today for fun. There are even photos of Barack Obama wearing Nike basketball shoes throughout his presidency. It makes perfect sense why Sotheby’s Auction House would auction a pair of Nike's made especially for him. The price tag is a little steep though, in my opinion. I should probably mention there is only two pairs of these style of shoes in the entire world, one of which is owned by the former President.
