Your Letters: April 18, 2021 Reader Submissions Sales people Don't take a sales person's word for anything. I bought a brand name TV a year ago at a local major retail store. The sales person told me, "If you purchase the extended warranty and anything goes wrong with this TV, we will replace it with the same model and take the old one back. You will only be without a TV for a few hours." I then purchased the two-year extended warranty. The TV went out within a year. I called the major retail store and was told I would have to make an appointment to get it repaired. The appointment was 16 days later. Then, 10 days later, I received an email saying they couldn't make the 16-day appointment and extended the repair time another 8 days.
