European soccer s breakaway Super League project lay in tatters on Tuesday after the six English Premier League clubs involved in the project quit 48 hours after agreeing to join Italian and Spanish teams in the controversial elite competition.

PESHAWAR: Though expected for some time, the resignation of two advisors and one special assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday created a crisis-like situation in the government as well as in the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) circles.
There were speculations that after seeking approval from Prime Minister Imran Khan, the chief minister would sack some of his cabinet members and change portfolios of a few other ministers.
It was quite a lengthy list of ministers, advisors and special assistants supposed to be either de-notified or have their portfolios changed, but some of them are believed to have survived the so-called ‘clean-up’ operation. ....

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of National Health Services, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), Wednesday declared the 1st of Ramazan as National Quit Day as part of the overall campaign for this year’s World No Tobacco Day, which is being observed worldwide under the theme ‘Commit to Quit.’
“Over 160,000 Pakistanis die of tobacco-related diseases every year. The Ministry of National Health Services, in collaboration with WHO, declares Ramazan 1st as National Quit Day. Let’s join hands and pledge to quit the use of tobacco,” the PM’s Special Assistant on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan announced on twitter. Tobacco kills 8 million people around the world each year. Over 1 million deaths attributable to tobacco use are caused by second-hand smoke exposure. Someone is dying of tobacco-related diseases every four seconds.
