Brewers come back home with another series win | 97.3 The Game

Apr 12, 2021
The Milwaukee Brewers may have found their missing offense in St. Louis over the weekend, but potentially lost another key member of their everyday lineup to the injury bug.
Milwaukee (5-4) jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead after two innings and were able to cruise to an easy 9-3 over the Cardinals, but lost star outfielder Christian Yelich to a sore back in the process. Further complicating matters, third baseman Travis Shaw, who belted a long three-run homer in the second inning had to leave after fouling a ball off of his leg in the fifth inning.
"For Christian, it's low back tightness; day to day," Brewers manager Craig Counsell told reporters via zoom after the game. "Travis has a right shin contusion and it's going to be the same day to day. We'll see how they're doing tomorrow. I'm not ruling them out. We'll see how they are when they get to the field."
