With jasmine abuslin. Anne kirkpatrick is the leader that oakland has been searching for, shes not afraid to hold officers to the highest standards of kct. We are moving forward, the past is behind us. Reporter months ago, the mayor plafted what she called a toxic macho environment. The blasted what she called a macho viement. I am a leader that is cloaked as a woman. Reporter the new chief said she knows she needs to gain the trust of the community and officers that see her as an outsider. We are optimistic about what the chief of police can do but we are going to hold her accountable as to what will happen. Shes the right prescription that a doctor could provide to a city like oakland. She is not looking to go anywhere else. Reporter the chief was asked if she plans to live in oakland.
