LOS ANGELES, April 26, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Led by Senior Pastor Shane B. Scott from Macedonia Baptist Church and Bishop Craig Worsham from The Agape Church of Los Angeles, six south Los Angeles-based pastors will hold a press conference at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 27
th at the City Club at 555 Flower Street, 51
st Floor in downtown Los Angeles. During the press conference, the pastors be calling for policy change on issues that affect the Black and Brown communities and will also show their support for Congresswoman Waters who has received criticism for her support of the people she represents. Scott said, "Congresswoman Waters has always been on the side of the marginalized; she has been for the people because she is of the people. Her legislative agenda has not been partisan, although as a proud progressive, and regardless of race, sexual orientation, criminal background, educational attainments, or socio-economics, Congresswoman Waters has sought to create a just and equitable society for everyone."

107,000 samples of COVID-19 tested in Rivers - Govt

The Rivers State government says over 107,000 samples of COVID-19 have been collected and tested since the emergence of the virus in the state.
State Commissioner for Health, Professor Princewill Chike made the revelation at the bidding exercise for the rehabilitation and refurbishment of 105 beds at Kelsey Harrison Hospital and the rehabilitation and refurbishment of Dental and Maxillofacial Hospital, all in Port Harcourt.
Prof. Chike said the state government conducted the COVID-19 tests at huge costs for free, adding that Governor Nyesom Wike is committed to the fight against the dreaded virus.
“We have been very careful in the management of COVID 19 in Rivers State and that is because of the support and commitment put into it by the Incident Commander of COVID 19 in the State, Governor Nyesom Wike.
