It triggered evacuations in the area. Earlier flames were racing across trees and dry brush on the steel hipside. Firefighting planes dropped water on the fires. And fire crews responding to a three alarm fire. You could see the smoke there billowing up into the air from our sfo camera. This fire is on star lite street near north canal street. No word on which building is burning here, but we know this is an Industrial Area about a block or so away from the South San Francisco fire station.
