ArkDes is excited to announce the summer reopening of the museum, presenting a new programme of activities including a new entrance, a refreshed identity, and a renewed visitor experience.
ArkDes has temporarily closed its doors to begin an exciting process of redevelopment. An extensive reconstruction of the museum’s public space has now begun—the culmination of six years of work on the collections, the development of an ambitious temporary exhibition programme, and the building of a new research environment both inside the museum and in the streets and squares of Sweden.
Four exhibitions on view now, including the architecture of bees in Houston and a relevant showcase on motherhood in Boston.
Years in the making, the exhibition "Designing Motherhood" at the MassArt Art Museum features 200 objects that explore the history of human reproduction, including IUDs, speculums and baby monitors.
