Results Tallahassee, Fla. – The Florida State cross country teams competed in the sole home meet of the season on Friday at the Apalachee Regional Park. Racing in ideal conditions, the Noles certainly excelled on their home course as nine scoring runners logged personal best collegiate times. The men took second place, scoring 87 points in the 8K, led by redshirt junior Matthew Newland in seventh place. His time of 24:34.9 was a personal best along with Anderson Ball (24:46.7), Coleman Cronk (24:58.6), and Wynne Thomas (25:04.1). Ball finished next in 14th followed by Colby Otero in 18th, Cronk in 21st, Thomas in 27th, and Matthew Owens in 59th (25:42.4). “I was really pleased with the guys,” said head coach Bob Braman said. “Several of these guys have a chance to be on our ACC team, so we looked at this race as a hard effort and we trained through it and ran hard. Most of the guys ran personal bests on tired legs. Our depth is even better than we thought it would be. ....
