Reporters how they saw a man with a rifle and just jumped into action. Its kind of a long story, but i kind of just woke up from the middle of a deep sleep and my friend anthony alek was sitting next to me, anthony was to my right side. I saw what looked to be a ak47. It was jammed or wasnt working, he was trying to charge the weapon, he hit me on the shoulder, said lets go. Ran down, tackled him, we hit the ground, alek came up and grabbed the gun out of his hand while i put him in a chokehold. Seemed he kept pulling more weapons left and right. Pulled out a handgun, alek took that. The gunman would have been successful if my friend spencer had not gotten up. I look going forward, in times of terror like that to please do something, dont just stand by and watch. I feel our training mostly kicked in after he was subdued, frankly, when it came to mental prepare and things like that.
