Surviving. Has it been difficult to survive the last couple of weeks . Its gotten its getting worse. Stevens is picking up as many side jobs as he can and spending downtime with family, who has also been affected by the shutdown since any money he makes is going to his mortgage. Cant go out and go to theme parks or big dinners. So were pretty much staying at home. Its not a lot of extra spending. Even when nasa reopens, as a contractor, hes not eligible for back pay. At this point, hell just be happy to get to work fulltime. As for nasa ames, 1,000 are on furlough. Quite a few people are scram...
