Two children are here at covenant hospital with avery in for observation but the three year old, mason, is currently listed in serious condition. The family believes all will eventually on helping a single mother with two kids get back on her feet. Firefighters say the call came from someone passing by who saw the smoke and frantically calling 911. Police officers arrived first and tried but couldnt put out the flames. So firefighters literally crawled through a burning doorway to find the family inside. Two firefighters crawling through the fire to rescue the three people inside brought them back out and extinguished the fire neighbors dean and onalee steege slept through the commotion next door at first.
