Top Story January 3, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Shahzad Akbar Saturday said that Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah and Shahbaz Sharif had the same method of increasing their assets, saying like his leader, Khawaja Asif also adopted TT method. Speaking here at a news conference, he said that when Khawaja Asif was asked for proof of Rs2.2 million per month, he said that he was transacting in cash. He claimed that PML-N leader had assets worth 5.1 million in 1983, which witnessed phenomenal growth afterwards. By News desk ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Tuesday arrested PML-N parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Khawaja Muhammad Asif for allegedly amassing assets beyond known sources of income. He was arrested after coming out of the residence of PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal where he attended a consultative meeting to decide whether or not the PML-N should contest the Senate election. Teams of NAB Lahore and Rawalpindi arrested Khawaja Asif and shifted him to NAB Rawalpindi. After medical examination, Asif would be produced before an accountability court in Islamabad on Wednesday (today) for his transit remand. According to sources, Chairman NAB Justice (R) Javed Iqbal signed the arrest warrant for Asif on Tuesday.
