Its a deadly fungal tree disease called ash dieback thats swept across europe and could wipe out most of the ash trees in britain. Now Scientists Say theres new hope after a team from the Royal Botanic Gardens kew identified the genes that provide resistance to ash dieback. It means trees could be bred that are unaffected by the epidemic. Our science correspondent Rebecca Morelle reports.
