James A. McCloskey, 81, formerly of Bannerville, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at William Penn Nursing Home.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1939, in Lewistown, a son of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Warntz) McCloskey. He was married for 61 years to Frances M. (Romig) who survives.
Jim was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1957. After marriage, he served in the Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked 41 years in maintenance for Hallmark/Lozier in McClure until his retirement.
Jim was a member of Baker’s United Methodist Church. He was an active member of the Bannerville Fire Company for 50+ years and President for many years.
