In New Milford, talks are centering around a building on East Street that until recently served as the headquarters of the Board of Education. The building is now empty after mold was discovered in it. The talks are aimed at deciding if it’s worth spending many millions of dollars to repair the building to bring it up to code. There are now plans to decommission the building’s boiler and drain the piping to kill off some of the mold.
