Following the successful passage of Mayor Esposito’s Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Proposed Budget, the Mayor announced on Thursday, additional tax relief programs for full time Danbury Seniors and the permanently disabled. Mayor Esposito now encourages all seniors to take advantage of these programs by contacting the Assessor’s Office before a deadline of May 15th. The now bankrupt Bed Bath & Beyond is closing its only remaining stores in Connecticut… one in Simsbury and the other in Brookfield. Both stores are shutting their doors for the final time as part of the closure of all of Bed Bath & Beyond’s remaining stores. Bed Bath & Beyond is now holding store closing sales at all 360 remaining stores nationwide. Fixtures, furnishings and store equipment will also be sold off. Gift cards, merchandise credits, and loyalty rewards will be honored through May 8th, and all sales are final.
