The army but not just the army but the military across the board, all of the services to include department of defense are very very Large Organization with a big bureaucracy with a significant overhead. A second is acquisition. As already previously mentioned, theres a considerable amount of cost and in many cases waste in the acquisition process. We need to get that under control. And the third and final piece that i think is worth taking a look at theres a wide variety of emerging technologies that could in the outyears could lend itself to automated processes and reducing either manpower or manpower costs, compensation cost over time. Thats three big areas that would want to lock at if confirmed. We have russia creating a looming threat in europe, we have the pacific and chinas expansion or i should say ....

Why do we have to beg and plead when our president , our congressman, our elected leaders when we tell them we need help when its on the media everyday. [applause] this is the United States of america. The young lady mentioned earlier that we rebuilt japan after destroying japan. This is new orleans, a very specific cultural society. I love new orleans. We have purchased a total of 107 trailers on four different sites but when you walk across the street here you will see 42 of them ....
[applause] thank you and welcome barney frank. First ill ask some questions and then well go to questions from the audience which i have one of these cards, so i will access or reject them. [applause] i was hoping you can say a little bit about the two stories that you tried to tell, the political stories that you tried to tell in this book which is about your life and also political work. Its as i start writing that there are two things. I was a normal teenager, my father, working programs. [inaudible] so these hearings were fascinated to me. I also decided something i have to get into politics. I was debating and arguing as i was a kid. Better than some adults. [laughs] i could do that. At the same time i realized [inaudible] so i began to say, i want to be influential, but i never will be because im gay. By the time i retired there was a disparity from being gave and politics, but the order has reversed. [laughs] i get married. I was the first member of congress to have the samesex ....
United states congress. John kennedy used to say that, when he was president , that he accompanied his wife, jacqueline kennedy, to paris. Well i i have accompanied laura dawson to canada several times. And i have actually been there on my own many times before that. First as a member of congress as i mentioned and then as a participant in the widelyaclaimed halifax forum. That is where he met minister sajjan singh, canadas bad ass defense minister. His military background make him wellequipped to understand threats across the world and those threatening his homeland. On his watch as a detective in vancouver, sajjan took on drug gangs. For example, breaking and entering episodes increased neighborhoods, increased in neighborhoods after drug users rented houses there. By the way, my old district in torrance, california, had kind of a similar thing. People who were breaking and entering gas stations were finally, after, after warrants were secured an places were checked, they turned out ....
