Central Ohio's unemployment rate hit a pandemic low in November as employers continue to slowly bring jobs back to the region. But the region's unemployment rate also fell last month for another, more troubling reason — people dropping out of the labor force. The unemployment rate for the Columbus area was 4.9% in November, down from 5.4% in October, according to state unemployment data released Tuesday. The rate was 3.3% in November 2019 and 13.7% in April during a pandemic peak. The region added 8,700 jobs in November, but central Ohio still has 72,600 fewer jobs than it did a year ago....
