F.C. Little League Celebrating 75th Anniversary in 2023 As the first Little League in the state of Virginia, the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League is looking forward to celebrating their 75th anniversary in 2023. They are asking for the community’s help to create a special logo for the 75th ann .
A mum-of-six said she is ‘cherishing every day’ after being told the devastating news that she has just 12 months to live. Beverly Ryan, a beautician and kitchen assistant from Walney, was hoping for the ‘all clear’ from doctors after battling breast cancer for 16 months. The 42-year-old first found a lump in 2016 which doctors reassured the mum was benign – but further tests carried out three years later revealed she had stage three cancer. The grandma-of-four, who worked at Risedale Residential Home, thought she had overcome cancer after undergoing a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy throughout 2020. However, in February she began to experience debilitating migraines which left her violently sick and with blurred vision.
