Jul 17, 2021 Texas unemployment is dropping again. The Texas Workforce Commission announced today last month's unemployment rate was 6.5%, down a tick from May. Texas added almost 56,000 jobs in June, mostly in the leisure and hospitality and professional and business services sectors. TWC Chair Brian Daniel says it's proof the state is open for business. “The Texas economy is booming.
