Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ space company Blue Origin has successfully completed another test flight of its New Shepard rocket as it prepares to fly astronauts.
Dubbed as NS-15, the mission is Blue Origin’s 15th consecutive mission to space and back. It served as a verification step for the vehicle and operations prior to the first crewed flight.
The five-storey-tall New Shepard rocket was launched onto a suborbital trajectory with an attached capsule from Launch Site One in west Texas, US.

Blue Origin to Launch Astronaut Rehearsal For New Shepard Test Flight This Week!

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Jeff Bezos' rocket company Blue Origin a temporary flight restriction (TFR) to perform a major test flight with its New Shepard spacecraft as soon as Wednesday.
From April 14 to April 17, the TFR limits airspace movement above Blue Origin's test facility in Van Horn, Texas. The agency issued an "alert to airmen" on Sunday to "provide a secure atmosphere for rocket launch and recovery." However, it doesn't mention Blue Origin by name.

Jeff Bezos’ space company Blue Origin carried out another suborbital launch of its New Shepard rocket on Wednesday, testing its reusable booster and capsule system, which is designed to carry humans to the edge of space and back. Like the last 14 launches, no humans were aboard this time. But with an extensive pre-launch exercise with “stand-in astronauts” on Wednesday, the company indicated its first crewed flight may be around the corner.
The five-story-tall New Shepard rocket lifted off from Blue Origin’s test launch facilities in Van Horn, Texas, at 12:49PM ET on Wednesday. It soared roughly 65 miles above the ground before jettisoning its crew capsule, which sat atop the rocket booster carrying the company’s test dummy named “Mannequin Skywalker.”
