About the rain headed our way. Dan this time tomorrow well be tracking our first band moving into the north bay. Live doppler 7 hd at the moment is quiet and it will be rather active over the next couple of days as not one but a series of storms moves through the area. About 18,000 feet in the atmosphere is where storms gather their moisture and move. That line of arrows is the jet stream. That pretty much dictates where storms go. In the next couple of days, that jet stream will set up shop right over the bay area. Our first storm arriving friday into saturday, and then the second storm moves in right on the heels of the first to round out the weekend. So the storm risks were looking at for this first storm on friday certainly flooding it at a high potential because several inches of rain will fall especially in the north bay. Mud and rock slides are possible. So is wind damage. The winds will start to become active friday. Gusts as high as 40
