New Delhi: India is likely to block its mobile carriers from using telecom equipment made by China’s Huawei, two government officials said, under procurement rules due to come into force in June.
New Delhi is wary about awarding new technology business to Chinese firms both because of security fears and a desire to get Indian manufacturers to produce more telecoms equipment.

China's 14th Five Year Plan: Key Projects Highlighted

Xi Jinping
On Thursday, China had formally approved the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), the draft outline of which was passed by the National People’s Congress as it closed its six-day annual session. Among its key projects is the building of a hydropower base on the lower reaches of Yarlung-Zangbo which refers to the section of the river in Tibet just before it enters India in Arunachal Pradesh, a Sichuan-Tibet railway near the Indian border and a push for self-sufficiency in emerging industries such as Artificial Intelligence.
A railway line would also be built from Xigaze in Tibet to Gyirong on the Tibet-Nepal border. Not only that, the FYP put emphasis on access to key border highways including the G219 national highway which runs along the entire length of India-China border in Xinjiang and Tibet.  India had announced its concern over the building over four dams on the upper and middle reaches, the first of which was Zangmu that had been operationalized in 2015. Indian officials are monitoring flows of the river closely through individual assessments and hydrological data provided by China under a bilateral agreement.

India and China Need More Than a Border Pullback to Mend Fences
Along the waters of Pangong Lake, high up in the Himalayas, there was a slackening of shoulders and a collective sigh of relief on Feb. 11. After nine months of tense military confrontation, which included the first deadly clash in decades between Indian and Chinese troops along their disputed border, the two sides began withdrawing from their positions on the southern and northern banks of the lake as part of a phased, synchronized military disengagement.

Chinese Regime Attempts to Conceal Its Failed Strategy Over Sino-Indian Border Dispute

Chinese Regime Attempts to Conceal Its Failed Strategy Over Sino-Indian Border Dispute

China’s Ministry of National Defense announced on Feb. 10 the withdrawal of troops from the Sino-Indian border. The next day, the Indian Defense Minister also confirmed the disengagement. It should be regarded as good news as China’s decision reduces the risk of military conflicts and maintains regional peace.
However, on Feb. 19, China’s state-run media suddenly launched a large-scale propaganda with regards to the Sino-Indian border conflict. On the one hand, the responsibility for the conflict was completely shifted to India, and on the other hand, the regime touted the victory and incited so-called patriotism.

New Delhi: Tibet Military Command of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) is enhancing intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) capabilities, UK-based Janes Information Group reported citing Chinese state-owned media. The development comes amid increased diplomatic and military tensions between New Delhi and Beijing over the standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) that was partially resolved last month.
According to the report, footage released by the China Central Television 7 (CCTV 7) channel shows PLA Ground Force (PLAGF) using two sensor systems at the Xiao post along the Indian border. The video shows that the complex houses barracks, additional sensors and watchtowers.
