Filed a motion today that claims the fbi has evidence of top city leaders accepting illegal money but they claim federal prosecutors refused to good after them. Carolyn tyler has the story. Is the fbi corrupt or are politicians corrupt but i garren tie one or the other. Reporter curtis bringing recommendation raymond chow and 7 others go on trial this fall on charges of racketeering, Money Laundering and trafficking drugs and weapons. The charges came after a lengthy federal investigation. Now chow attorneys say it was selective prosecution that fbi documents show San Francisco mayor ed lee should also have been indicted. Concerning to the fbi he sat down with federal agents undercover. He took money from them. His staff took money from them supposedly knowledgeable about what the money was for and he attempted to, to i guess pay up on the bribe. The growing issue of dementia care. Assisted Living Expenses cost twice as much as community care, nursing home and hospitals cost are five times as much. Here are some facts specific to our city. San francisco is a large number of older adults with no loved one living nearby. 40 have no relatives in the area. In 2008 there were 17,000 people 55 years and older with alzheimers disease in San Francisco. In 2015 there are 20,000. That is a 10 increase. If we take it out to 2030, theres going to be a 54 increase. So, taking into account the demographics of older adults living longer and the percentage of oldest old having cognitive decline, doss case managers will play an increasingly essential role of the older san franciscans remaining in the community. Increasing the doss Case Management is costeffective and fiscally responsible thing to do to beat the current and growing needs. Now is the time to encourage effective innovation of Case Management services not to continue flat spending.
