Based in Llano, Texas, Brooks plays a blend of Mississippi and Lone Star State blues that he calls “Texassippi.” The pair's most recent release is last year's "Are You Ready? Restaurant and blues venue Englewoods on Dearborn's live music lineup this week is scheduled to include South Florida blues guitarist and singer J.P. Soars with his group the Red Hots.
