I would like to extend a welcome to members of a few groups who are cosponsoring tonights program, the ninth judicial Historical Society and the American Constitution Society bay area chapter. I spoke with congressman kennedy a few moments ago and extended my respect and congratulations on a campaign that has been fierce, but always fueled by a shared commitment to the people of this great commonwealth.
