Union afscme local 3299 to begin organizing for better treatment. They doubled the hourly pay and benefits such as health and pension, guaranteed wage increases, and paid time off. In march of 2015 ucsf did not renew its contract with impact group resulting in many of these workers losing their jobs. Then the university then began working with another contractor. The dispute between ucsf and local 3299 has prompted an unfair labor practice complaint filed by the general counsel of the Public Employee relations board. In response to that complaint, ucsf claimed it cannot hire the impact workers because they do not speak english sufficient ....

Reporter neighbors told us that the fence and the cameras that were added to this home over the last couple of months made it look like a fortress for today police came in with an arbor and vehicle and Armored Vehicle and smashed through the door. Neighbors took this video of the sheriffs Armored Vehicle racing down orange avenue. Moments later pictures show how it was used to bust through the front door.
