AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Singh Guleria and NITI Aayog member VK Paul were administered the coronavirus vaccine shot at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on Saturday.
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan tweeted, So that people will have faith! In my presence AIIMS, Delhi Director Dr. Randeep Guleria Ji also got the corona vaccine. Certainly this initiative will instill confidence in the people that this vaccine is safe and it should be administered to every beneficiary without any doubt. ....

Vaccine drive: 1.91 lakh of target 3 lakh healthcare workers vaccinated on Day 1

As many as 1,91,181 people were administered the coronavirus vaccine on Saturday. According to sources, the government had set the target of vaccinating 3 lakh people on Day 1 of the vaccine drive.
According to a statement issued by the Central government, the vaccinations were conducted with two Made-in-India vaccines. 16,755 personnel administered the vaccine over 3,352 sessions to 1,91,181 beneficiaries in the massive nationwide program. Additional 3,429 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Defence institutions. As per the statement, no case of post-vaccination hospitalisation was reported.
