Far-right PVV wants to take constitutional rights from Muslims

Far-right PVV wants to take constitutional rights from Muslims
THE HAGUE - The main focus of the election program for Geert Wilders' PVV is still to close mosques and Islamic schools, ban the Koran, and ban Dutch people with dual nationality from voting or acting as a politician in the Netherlands, NU.nl reports.
The newspaper said it tried to get an interview with Wilders, like it did with the left-wing leaders Jesse Klaver, Lilianne Ploumen and Lilian Marijnissen earlier this week, but a suitable date could not be found. The newspaper therefore analyzed the PVV election program and Wilders' main campaign promises.

Aruba: Border with Venezuela remains closed

Aruba: Border with Venezuela remains closed
ORANJESTAD - The Aruban government has decided that the borders with Venezuela will not be opened for the time being. A period of another three months has been agreed for this. Venezuela closed its borders with Aruba in February 2019. In May of that year, the regime in Caracas wanted to reopen the borders, but Aruba did not agree. Initially, closure was announced for a month, but then followed by a three-month extension. According to Prime Minister of Aruba Evelyn Wever-Croes, Aruba is still insufficiently prepared for a possible influx of Venezuelan citizens and therefore the border remains closed.

CTB: February stayover visitors' performance - Curaçao Chronicle

CTB: February stayover visitors’ performance
February Visitor Arrivals 2021
WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) is reporting 8,144 stayover visitors for the month of February.  This is an increase in stayover arrivals in February compared to January. There is a slight uptick in Dutch visitors despite the negative travel advice announced by the Dutch Government. The stayover arrivals in February are similar to the number of arrivals welcomed in July 2020, when travel restrictions previously imposed because of Covid, were lifted for the first time.
For February, we welcomed 5,179 Dutch visitors, which is 71% less than February 2020. Out of Germany, we registered 372 visitors. The German Government recently lifted a negative travel advice to Curaçao; we foresee a promising outlook in March regarding German visitor arrivals. Of these European visitors, only 40% stayed in resort hotels in February. This compares to 55% staying in resort hotels in previous months, and is another indication of the impact of the negative travel advice from The Netherlands.

ORANJESTAD - The Coast Guard arrested 14 illegal immigrants at sea on Wednesday evening. This happened after the Coast Guard radar system spotted a suspicious vessel sailing from Venezuela to Aruba. The Coast Guard reports this on Thursday.
The Coast Guard Rescue and Coordination Center has directed a Metal Shark to the site of the vessel. On arrival, a boat with 14 undocumented people on board was found.
The boat was escorted to Naval Base Savaneta in collaboration with the helicopter of the Aruba Police Force. There, the illegal Venezuelans, including two women and 12 men, were handed over to the Coast Guard.
