A 13-year-old boy died after he was deliberately pushed into a river, a coroner has said.

A 13-year-old boy who drowned in a river was deliberately pushed in as a “dangerous prank”, a coroner has ruled.

Jayden Pugh insisted that Christopher fell into the river and did not deliberately push him, but the coroner said today that the youngster was 'intentionally pushed in the back from behind.'

Christopher Kapessa died in the River Cynon near Fernhill in Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales in July 2019.
