Guy with the backhoe here he came around ripped the door off after he tried to pick the trailer up. She was smashed inside the car and dead. Martinez police along with cal osha are investigating the case talking with the driver of the truck to find out what went wrong. Police say the accident happened at 1 this afternoon along shell avenue. The truck was working for the city to improve the road safety. My own feelings i think they should have closed the road off. I dont think they should have been doing this with the road open. Neighbors say the driver was in the wrong place at the wrong time but they think the accident could have been much worse had it happened later in the afternoon when the
