world. i m zain asher. we begin in las vegas where u.s. president barack obama is trying to build support for his immigration reform plan. mr. obama told a crowd of supporters he had to take action because republicans in congress had failed to deliver. the president signed the executive orders on friday which could provide temporary legal status for nearly 5 million undocumented immigrants. well, republicans in congress and state governments are considering the best way to challenge mr. obama s immigration reforms. attorney generals in several states say they will sue the president. and republican leaders in congress may not be far behind. chief congressional correspondent dana bash reports. reporter: in federal court friday, house republicans filed suit against the president over obamacare. a move that signals where the gop fight is going over the latest flash point, immigration. what republicans call executive overreach. it takes time, but i think we ll win that in court. reporter: sources say suing the president on immigration looks increasingly like the most effective way to respond. house speaker john boehner says he personally warned the president haze executive action will have negative consequences. i told the president yesterday. he s damaging the presidency itself. reporter: the president offered a simple fix to the sidestep on immigration. i have one answer. pass a bill. reporter: the senate did pass a bipartisan bill last year, giving undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship. but house gop leaders never took up the issue. fearing it would divide republicans ahead of the elections. white house officials say the president still had no faith the house speaker would act despite this post-election promise. this immigration issue is a political football over the last ten years or more. it s time to deal with it. reporter: but even if house republicans were to debate immigration, they would never agree to the scope of the president s executive action. allowing nearly 5 million undocumented immigrants to stay legally. which adds to gop frustration, saying the president went around congress to avoid compromise. the president has chosen to deliberately sabotage any chance of an acting bipartisan reforms. reporter: still there is a gop divide over how to react. some want to go to the mat. but others argue against being goaded into a distracting fight. i m not standing here foaming at the mouth. perhaps there are people on the democratic side wish we would do this with our eyes bugged out and sweat pouring down our brows. we re going to respond in a way that will be effective. reporter: but what is that effective response? republican leaders aren t sure. a court challenge could succeed, but that takes time. and lots of conservatives are chomping at the bit for a legislative response. dana bash, cnn, washington. the immigration stats. 11.4 million undocumented ill grants in the united states. and more than half are from mexico. and mexico s president is praising mr. obama s executive actions as, quote, the most important measures taken in several decades. now the mexican embassy in the u.s. also welcomed the news. it does not solve all the problems. but it goes certainly to a very deep degree to make the life of mexican nationals here in the u.s. much better. it improves their opportunities, their certainty and their dignity. so we applaud the measures taken by president obama. and the congressional budget office estimates immigration reform will boost the u.s. economy by $1.4 trillion in the next 20 years. turn now to one of the other top stories. the u.s. city of ferguson, missouri, is on edge right now as a grand jury gets closer to deciding if a white police officer will be charged in the death of an unarmed white teenager. extra police are on stand by. the situation is tense in ferguson and the surrounding areas. the police are on stand by in case violence erupts. the fbi and other agencies sent extra personnel to the area as well. president obama is urging everyone to stay calm no matter what the jury decides. ed louisiana venn dare a has more. reporter: tensions are rising in ferguson. the last two nights local and out of town protesters scuffled with police and tried to block traffic. three arrests last night. all this as it becomes clear at any moment the grand jury will announce the decision on whether or not police officer darren wilson will be indicted for shooting michael brown. local law enforcement officials have spent the last three months preparing for this month. missouri national guard soldiers stationed to prevent property damage. and law enforcement officers on the ground will be more tolerant of peaceful protesters with civil disobedience. but violent protesting will be squashed. we respect the folk of the protesters, we respect the folk of the residents of these communities. we re going to be respectful to the protesters right to protest. but we understand that the police need to protect themselves as well. reporter: with the grand jury decision expected soon, the st. louis area air waves are wanting peace from the st. louis rams football players. the whole world is watching. reporter: to the father of michael brown. thank you for raising your voices to end police intimidation. but hurting others and destroying property is not the answer. reporter: and attorney general eric holder. law enforcement officials in every jurisdiction should work with the communities they serve to stop needless confrontation. now we re a little bit more concern. because the tension that s built up over the last few days and weeks of what is going to happen. what will that response be. reporter: pastor robert white was in the middle of the violent protests back in august fighting to keep the peace. he ll be back on the streets, urging the angriest to stay calm. but he s worried about some police officers. i m worried there s going to be factions on both sides that are not going to be able to keep peace. protests have been going on in ferguson for roughly three months now. the missouri governor has declared a state of emergency. a new congressional report says there was not an intelligence failure prior to the deadly 2012 attacks on the diplomatic compound in benghazi, libya. and no standdown order to cia operatives. but does mention weak security overall. and the way the cia wrote talking points was flawed. four americans were killed that day included the u.s. ambassador christopher stevens. police in kenya say gunman killed 28 people on board a bus near the border with somalia. no one claimed responsibility so far. the interior minister says on twitter they are in pursuit of the bandits. it was headed to nairobi with 60 people on board when gunman boarded the bus and attacked those 28 people. well, coming up, world leaders pelead e leaders push for a deal with iran. trying to come to an agreement on the country s nuclear program. and mexico s president tries to take away the tension over the death of the 43 college students. we ll be right back. welcome back, everyone. world leaders don t have much time to reach a deal with iran on their nuclear program. serious gaps remain in the talks. iran and six world powers have until monday, two days from now, to come to an agreement. u.s. secretary of state john kerry said leaders will only approve a deal that cuts off iran s path to nuclear weapons. that s a sticking point. nic robertson joins me life from vienna, austria. the secretary of state and iran s foreign minister sat down and hammered out a deal on friday, is that a good sign other a bad sign? reporter: it s a sign that that they re both here and they re both still talking. and really that s about the best indication that we re getting from the talks at moment. there are no details leaking out about what is the subject of their discussions. or really why the two men decided to stay. we know the iranian foreign minister according to the iranian news agency, there wasn t enough to take back to tehran yesterday for him to leave to go back for consultations. that s altered the landscape. what has been hammered out in the meantime, what took place in the late night talks. it was interesting that the french foreign minister was due to leave, his cavalcade was waiting to take him. but he was into the night. and secretary kerry meeting with him after meeting with the iranian foreign minister. what we have heard, and this is coming from the british foreign secretary, big gaps still remain. this is what he said. well, we ve had a series of yuft discussions. as i said earlier, these are very complex issues and there s still a very significant gap between the parties. we re all going to go away and have further technical discussions with our experts. we will resume again over the course of the weekend. thank you very much. reporter: so even as he left, the game changed, if you will. the iranian foreign minister, secretary kerry all deciding to stay after all. what the state department continues to say is they do continue to try to push for an advancement in this. for the negotiations to conclude on monday by the deadline. the reality is, though, the mood music is, that that doesn t appear likely to happen. it does appear that probably we might see an extension. but this deadline is clearly fast approach. iran wants to uphold the right to nuclear activity. the u.s. isn t budging on sanctions. what do you think is going to be an acceptable middle ground here? reporter: well, analysts have said that iran s desire to have, you know, a number of centrifuges, potentially in excess of 10,000, and the u.s. and others in the p-5 plus one, their desire to have iranian sentcentrifuges down to a numbe the lower thousands, really that is a political decision. and that can be bridged. but it speaks to the issue of the notion of break out. when what or how quickly, if you will, the calculation that iran could have enough material to produce its own weapon. so technical, but also a political decision on that. there is potential scope for compromise. where there seems less likelihood for compromise from both sides, in iran, get the banking sanctions, energy sanctions, lifted at the outset of any deal here. get them all lifted. get the immediate financial relief. tens if not hundreds of billions of dollars at stake for iran over the longer team. from the p-5 plus one, the desire not to lift all the sanctions at once. they are the mechanism through which iran can be held to account for whatever it agrees here. that at the moment seems to be a potentially the toughest thing to negotiate at the moment. clearly either way those sanctions have had a detrimental effect on iran s economy. see what happens. nic robertson in vienna. thank you. well, it was a scene of chaos and fire in mexico city s main square. take a look at the video. molotov cocktails were flying as thousands of demonstrators were pushed out by riot police yesterday. they are angry into the investigation over the disappearance and apparent deaths of 43 college students. the day after what might have been the biggest protests yet, cnn s shasta darlington asks, what s next? reporter: an ancient call to battle. and the first protesters march into mexico city s main square. tired, wet shouting out the numbers one to 43 to mourn the abduction and likely murder of 43 college students. hours later, the demonstration erupted in violence with protests throwing molotov cocktails at riot police. pitched battles and stampedes. now the inevitable question. what next? president nieto condemned the violence, but said the demands were legitimate. society rightly is tired of feeling slighted, he said, is tired of impunity and crime. a recognition of what was hard to ignore. tens of thousands of mexicans taking to the streets to demand answers. what really happened to the 43 students who disappeared in late september after a clash with police? and what will the government do to tackle the lawlessness and the corruption that have become endemic in mexico? for a long time the country s kept quiet, she says, because it s not just 43, it s thousands and thousands who have disappeared. supporters hope the protest will help launch a national movement to investigate those cases. the day after the massive protests here, it s hard to tell anything really happened at all. and talking to people, they seem to be divided about whether or not the massive protest was a historic turning point or whether it will be back to business as usual. nothing s changed from my perspective, he says. i think people will get tired of it all before things really change. now the government has to respond, she says. the 43 aren t the only ones. we all have children. the cathedral bells ring out over the main square. the protests still fresh in people s minds. at least for now. shasta darlington, cnn, mexico city. reporter: ye yeah, and by the way, the mayor has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of the students and charged withing aggravated homicide. more allegations of sexual assault against bill cosby. what the comedian s attorney has to say about them in a new statement. and all of this snow, will you take a look at this, in buffalo, new york, is about to cause even more trouble for the area. derrick vann damn shows us what to expect when we come back. but his attorney says the number of the growing number of sexual assault claims against him are, quote, ridiculous. marty singer says the media should stop airing the unsubstantiated, fantastical stories. cosby, though, got a standing ovation during his appearance at a comedy club in florida friday night. gary tuchman has a closer look. reporter: 1967, the earliest known allegation against bill cosby. carla, now wife of incredible hulk star, lou, says he forcibly kissed her at his home. she was an 18-year-old ploy boy bunny with a male friend, he grabbed her and kissed her. this was at the time when he was on the rise in hollywood. a star in the hit tv series, i spy, he was one of the first african-american leads of any network tv show. from i, spy, moving on to the first sitcom in 1969. it was the bill cosby show. he played a high school p.e. teacher. and this woman says she was attacked by cosby. traits who has been convicted of fraud and drug-related offenses said she was fresh out of high school and working as a waitress in california and he offered her a ride home and offering her pills. i was crying, he said i ll take you home. at that point, i was not raped, but i was groped and terrorized. reporter: that same year joan tarshis says she was raped by cosby. i passed out. i woke up or came to very groggily with him removing my underwear. reporter: the next year, tam a green, an aspiring model says cosby gave her pills and tried to rape her. never eat reporter: for 25 years starting in 1974, he was the spokesman for jell-o. and from 1984 to 92, america s favorite dad on one of the most successful shows in tv history, the cosby show. and around that time, two more women say they were assaulted. former super model, janice dickenson, and janet bowman who alleges she was assaulted on numerous occasions. his stand-up career continued to drive into the 2000s. new tv projects planned. and during this time period came andrea, a staffer for the temple university basketball team, his alma mater. filing a civil suit. cosby agreed to a settlement which included similar allegations from 13 other women. bill cosby ease attorney released this statement about the slew of allegations. over the past several weeks, decades-old discredited allegations have resurfaced. the fact they are being repeated does not make them true. back in 1969 cosby recorded a comedy routine. talking about a childhood conversation with a 13-year-old friend in which the topic was drugging a girl. do you know about that? no, tell me about it. crazy myrrhry, you put something in her drink, oh, yeah, that s really groovy, man. reporter: a lot of laughter when he recorded it. not so much now. gary tuchman, cnn. and by the way, both nbc and netflix canceled upcoming shows in development featuring bill cosby. and a journalist for the daily beast says he wrote about the sexual assault allegations back in 2011, but at the time no one in the media really wanted to listen. here s what mark had to say to anderson cooper. the media likes to protect celebrities to a large degree. and i also think that they were also afraid of getting sued. not only that, but to give you an example of how the media didn t respond to my story. i went to the ap news wire with it, and they fired i showed them the story, i this three sources, i did my job as a journalist, and they responded, we don t want to lible mr. cosby. my reaction was you re attacking me as a journalist by responding like that. i was stone walled in 2007. not so much now. at the time he had spoken to three women who said cosby sexually assaulted them. and they are among the women telling the same stories now. well, the death toll has now risen to 13 in new york s buffalo area. snowstorms have pummelled the area in the last few days. and now the region is heading for more problems. so derrick joins me now. obviously the snow is going to have to melt. that s going to cause more problems for homeowners there. that s right. on top of the melting, additional rainfall forecast. get a load of this freforecast. the temperatures on the upward trend from saturday, sunday, to monday. 14 degrees celsius, in terms of farn height, chances of rainfall. this is going to melt the snowfall rather quickly. and it s going to lead to the possibility of flooding as well. here s our precipitation cast into the future. look at the rainfall over western new york and then a low pressure develops across the upper midwest into michigan. that s going to allow for more rain to settle into the region by monday. so we re going to watch out, again, for the possibility of flooding. here s a look at the snowfall totals from this lake effect event. this is a very narrow area that received the heaviest of snowfall. 225 centimeters. that s 88 inches of snow over 7 feet. we have seen the images coming out of the greater buffalo area. but let s talk about the concerns going forward. we have heavy snow pack on tops of many of the roofs and structures near the greater buffalo area. in fact we have seen visuals of 4, 5, even 6 feet of snowfall on top of people s houses. with the rainfall, that s going to add additional weight. it s more of a sponge on top of people s houses. it s going to absorb the additional rain, and that is going to lead for the potential of partial or full roof collapses of people s houses. it s already happened. roughly 30 houses experiencing roof collapses. and with the rain and the melting snow, we re going to increase those chances. so if we were to squeeze out the available moisture into the snow band that fell over erie county over western new york, we would receive 10 to 25 centimeters of liquid equivalent, anywhere from 4 to 10 inches. on top of that, more rainfall in store. and the possibility of flooding. and look out for clogged sewer drains. ice and snow, causing the possibility of urban flooding. five counties under a flood watch from sunday to wednesday. back to you. the warmer temperatures, i guess, is good. but the flooding is so unfortunate. those residents have been through so much. i think it would actually just be better with the temperatures stayed below freezing and one day of warmer temperatures. thank you. we appreciate it, as always. appealing for calm. missouri braces for a grand jury decision about the death of an unarmed teenager. and how sanctions in ukraine have caused hard times for one segment of the russian population. that s coming up. welcome back to our viewers in the united states and around the world. it s 4:30 in the morning in atlanta. i m zain asher, here are the headlines. president barack obama is defending his executive orders on immigration reform. republicans are saying he s rewriting federal law on his own. he says his message so them is simple, pass a bill. police in kenya say that no one has claimed responsibility or killing 28 people near the country s border with somalia. authorities say that a bus was headed to nairobi with 60 people on board when gunman essentially ambushed that bus earlier this morning. world leaders are working to hammer out a deal with iran over its nuclear program. the deadline is monday. and officials say there are serious gaps in those talks. an agreement could bring an end to crippling sanctions against tehran. well, president obama and michael brown s family are asking for calm in the u.s. city of ferguson, missouri. extra police are on hand in case violence erupts when the grand jury makes its decision in michael brown s death. that decision is expected any day now. michael brown, just as a reminder, is the unarmed black teenager shot and killed by a white police officer. the grand jury is deciding if officer darren wilson will be charged with a crime. mr. obama says that violent action is not what america is all about. using any event as an excuse for violence is temporary to rule of law and contrary to who we are. well, brown s father also recorded a video saying that his son s death should be used to end racial profiling by police and not as an excuse to hurt others. meanwhile, benjamin crump, an attorney for the brown family says the waiting game has been an emotional roller coaster for the family. he tells cnn what s next if officer wilson is not charged. we will explore all legal avenues for the family of michael brown jr. and, you know, you can imagine how they must feel after three months of losing their child in this terrible way that they are waiting on this decision where they are going to be relieved because they will have a chance at justice or if they come back and return no true bill for indictment, then it s very likely that the person that killed their unarmed teenage son will never be held accountable. obviously we have to wait on the federal government to see what they re going to do. but they really want their missouri officials to treat the police officer as if they would treat anybody else under these circumstances based on the american constitution. certainly an emotional ordeal for brown s family. crump said that the brown family will be in ferguson when the grand jury makes their announcement. well, the nearby town where the grand jury is meeting has seen its fair share of protests as well. and some residents say they feel like they re preparing for a war. jason carroll has more from playton, missouri. reporter: large demonstration haves taken over the streets of ferguson for month. but in the past few days, clayton, missouri, a relatively small, affluent town, less than ten miles away, has also seen its share of unrest. it s where the grand jury sits and where robert mccullough, the prosecutor handling the darren wilson case has his offices. since many feel the grand jury will not date officer wilson, and because mccullough is too close to law enforcement to be impartial, they say, demonstrators have their eye on clayton. no one is sure what s going to be said or done. but with the reactions of what we re preparing for, we feel like we re preparing for a war. reporter: businesses located just blocks away from mccullough s office worry what will happen here when the grand jury releases its findings. julie leader says their toy store should have a steady flow of pre-holiday shoppers. but not now. this is our busiest time of year. with thanksgiving, and the possibility of that affecting our business. it s a little bit scary. and what damage might happen to our store. reporter: just down the street, more concerns. whichever decision comes down is, i think, still going to be problemat problematical. and i think that most of the problem s not coming from here. but people that are coming in and instigating and inflaming people when they have the problem to begin with. it s wrong. but hurting others or destroying property is not the answer. reporter: michael brown s family has called for calm. and brown s father recorded a public service announcement thursday urging non-violence. residents throughout the city hoping demonstrators are listening. i d like to think that our community is going to be very fair in how we treat whatever the verdict is going to be. and i would like to think that it s done in a peaceful way. reporter: jason carroll, cnn, clayton, missouri. yeah. and it is believed that officer darren wilson will be handing in his resignation from the ferguson police force. u.s. investors are thankful for global bankers as the dow and s&p 500 closed at record highs on friday again. stocks climbed 90 points thanks to china s first rate cut in more than two years. and boosted by comments from the european central bank president suggesting buying government bonds to fight deflation. from the u.s. economy to the russian economy, western sanctions over russia s actions in ukraine are certainly starting to bite. and as the economy faulters, it is the most vulnerable citizens feeling the effects. matthew chance reports from st. petersburg where people are turning to charity just to get a hot meal. reporter: every weeknight, russia s second city. they come to the mobile soup kitchen for the only hot meal, soup and bread. as russia s economy plunges, more citizens are depending on charity to survive. men like this one, not homeless, not even unemployed, just poor. i have work, he told me, but i don t get much salary. after the rent from my flat, there s just not enough for food. with rising prices in russia, that shortage of cash is pushing whole families into poverty. alina, who s 56, says she spends all of her pension supporting her close relatives. without this free food, she says, she d just go hungry. translator: the economic situation in russia isn t very good. i m responsible for three people. me, my granddaughter and my son. half of my pension goes on rent. and what s left is too small. reporter: soup? you know, you hear a lot about the economic crisis in russia. the devaluing ruble, the sanctions from europe and the united states. but these are the people it really affects. in many ways, russia s most vulnerable citizens. the big concern is that if the economic crisis continues, this situation is only going to get worse. this one soup van operated by the charity, place to sleep, works across st. petersburg serving thousands of meals a year to the city s poor. organizers say they re bracing for greater demand in the months ahead. yes, we anticipate that the number of jobless people will increase, and increase significantly. and that salaries will drop. and, of course reporter: increase the number of people who come here. yes, sure. reporter: the impact for the economic downturn for many has so far been limited. but for those teetering on the poverty line, it s a disaster. matthew chance, cnn, st. petersburg. and the ue is imposing sanctions on individual separatists in the ukraine. and a new accomplishment for vladimir putin. he is now an eighth degree black belt in full-contact karate. a surprising fact there. 62-year-old also known for his judo skills and a fifth degree black belt in 2001. and last year putin received the highest ranking in taekwondo, earning him grand master status. always nice to learn something new about mr. putin there. a top u.s. intelligence chief issues a dire warning with hundreds of millions of people. it involves china, a cyber security threat and a crippling assault. and tell you about some japanese women being called black widows. police say they re leaving a trail of dead lovers behind them. curling up in bed with a favorite book is nice. but i think women would rather curl up with their favorite man. but here s the thing: about half of men over 40 have some degree of erectile dysfunction. well, viagra helps guys with ed get and keep an erection. and remember, you only take it when you need it. ask your doctor if your heart is healthy enough for sex. do not take viagra if you take nitrates for chest pain; it may cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure. side effects include headache, flushing, upset stomach and abnormal vision. to avoid long-term injury, seek immediate medical help for an erection lasting more than four hours. stop taking viagra and call your doctor right away if you experience a sudden decrease or loss in vision or hearing. ask your doctor about viagra. okay, welcome back, everyone. well, 15 suspected cyber criminals were arrested in a sweeping raid operation across europe this week. it was coordinated by europol and local law enforcement agencies. targeting several teenagers and young adults behind software designed to remotely take over, control and steal information from computers. cybercrime was also in the spotlight in the united states this week as the head of the u.s. cyber command issued a stark warning. he said that major parts of u.s. infrastructure are at risk from hackers capable of shutting down entire systems. cnn s jim sciutto reports. reporter: the nation s power grid. water utilities. air traffic control systems and financial services companies. all vulnerable to cyber attacks from china, russia and hackers acting on behalf of russia and other countries. a dramatic attack capable of shutting down one or all of those systems says nsa chief admiral michael rogers, not a question of if, but when. the cyber challenges are not theoretical. this is something real. and that has the potential to lead to some truly significant, almost catastrophic failures if we don t take action. reporter: the preparation, says the admiral, has begun. foreign nations and non-state actors carrying out recon missions on systems so seek out and test vulnerabilities. a successful attack could come at any time, taking down the nation s power grid, for instance, piece by piece. the lights go out, stop pumping water. does that mean they have the capability to flip the switch if they wanted to? there shouldn t be any doubt in our minds that there are nation states and groups that have the capability to do that. reporter: they have struck some of the u.s. government s most sensitive system. the white house unclassified e-mail system, russia or russian entities cited as the likely suspects. and the state s department e-mail. the only defense is preparing to strike back. defense, he says, is a losing strategy. we needed to find what would be offensive. what s an act of war? those are issues we re trying to come to grips with right now. reporter: in addition to russia and china, the u.s. concerned about the cyber capabilities of iran, north korea and syria. it is that collection of threats and growing capability that led the former cia director to say that the next pearl harbor could be a cyber attack. jim sciutto, cnn, washington. a 67-year-old woman in japan is accused of getting very wealthy by killing her lovers. police arrested her this week after an autopsy showed her latest husband died of any chance of letting up? aren t we at the end of the monsoon season? november is the end of the monsoon. this is ending pretty quickly. however, there is still more rain in the forecast. and they have received in a four day period nearly a third of what they would see the entire month of november in southern parts of thailand. we have the national disaster warning center in thailand issuing a flood and landslide warning to the four southern most provinces in thailand. that borders the country of malaysia. look at the rainfall totals. 179 millimeters, the monthly average is 545. just higher amounts to the north. the thunderstorm activity across the region. and you can see that more rainfall is in the forecast over the next 24 to 48 hours. but, again, the southwest monsoon should start to be retreating. at least that s what they would call for for this time of year. take a look at some of the visuals coming out of the this region. people experiencing the flooding conditions lately. vast areas of homesteads and farmlands being just a villaged by this flood water including some of the rubber plantations that help produce and drive the local economy throughout that area. over 200 households have been hit by this deluge of heavy rain. it is expected to continue at least for the next 24 to 48 hours. take a look at hour rainfall accumulation map. you can see we have our heaviest rain across the south. again, that s near the border of malaysia. anywhere from 30 to 40 millimeters possible. this is why we have the flood and landslide warnings in effect across this region. now we re going to go from one area that s had an excess of rain and go to a part of the world that would desperately love to see some of this rainfall. this is southeastern brazil. i m showing you this image. this is actually a reservoir that feeds much of sao paulo s water. in fact 50% of the population which is roughly 10 million near sao paulo. the total population is 20 million. but half of it. and these reservoirs are dry, running 5 to 10% of their capacity. that has caused an exceptional draught across southeastern brazil. even stretching inland as well. take a look at the nasa image. this is very, very interesting. the reservoir just outside of sao paulo dried up lately. and you can see it from last year compared to this year. just the rim around this area showing the brown area around the reservoir indicating that drop in water level. keep a close eye on both of these weather features. back to you. the grass is always greener. too much rain in thailand, dealing with possible landslides, and then in brazil, not enough. thank you so much. we appreciate it. welcome. well, coming up next, we speak to the man behind twitter and the mobile payment app, square. what he has to york. i did not know that. but he still has u.s. citizenship. and in an interview with npr, johnson says officials were coming after him for capital gains tax on the sale of his first london home. mayor johnson says the tax is outrageous and he certainly will not be paying that bill. well, google s unrivalled grip on internet searching in europe, at least, may be about to weaken. europe s parliament is set to vote thursday on a resolution proposing ways to shrink the search engine s influence in the region. even if the vote passes, final authority lies with the european commission. regulators have long criticized the way google displays search results in europe. the mobile payment app, square, is going global. the register app that allows mobile phones to accept payments will be available in multiple languages in more than 100 countries. cnn s samuel burke caught up with jack dorsey to talk about the privacy behind mobile payments. our mind set has been around the seller. accept every form of payment that comes across the counter and build solutions and tools so that they can grow their business and grow their sales. so apple pay is something that makes the credit card a little bit more convenient. because now it s on your phone. but effectively, it s the same thing. reporter: it is a credit card. we re not building a credit card, or a payment device. we re building a register. it accepts all these forms of payment. reporter: so square will accept apple payments. we want to make sure they can accept every form of payment. and the buyer can pay in whatever way they want. reporter: did you use apple pay yet? i have. reporter: what did you think? it s a great experience. we held off on making a reader for a long time. there wasn t adoption in the united states. in europe it s growing quickly. and other places around the world, growing quickly. reporter: and do you think that apple will be the nfc game-changer for the united states and be the standard in the u.s.? has a lot of potential to be. reporter: what can you do as a leader, as the head of a company, twitter or square to make sure your employees aren t able to access people s account information? there s a lot in the news because of uber. what kind of stop do you put in place to make sure the information is free from the eyes. it has to be part of the dna and start early on. this is something we did pretty early on in terms was just making sure that we re putting the customer first. their data is their data. when we contact them, we have a conversation about them and have reference material on the phone with them or on the e-mail. but otherwise that is private information to them. reporter: no square employee can go in and look at what i ve been purchasing on square. right. reporter: how do you divide your day now between twitter and square. for a year, half and half. but only for a year. and that was the intention. i meet a few on tuesday, but most of the time with square. both are right next to each other. it s easy to pop over there. reporter: see any fundamental changes in twitter? people have talked about how the timeline could change on twitter. there s a lot of work to be done. so when people open up the app and website, they see something that speaks to them right away. we have to figure out what feels good and works for people. okay, everyone. that does it for this hour. i m zain asher. ais i ll be back with the next hour with a live report from rome where pope francis is making a call for autism. gives you home security and control in a
