Deadline: Netflix to buy "Knives Out" sequels for $400 million

Knives Out was made for $40 million and grossed over $300 million worldwide in its initial 2019 theatrical run. Netflix is preparing to shell out lots of money for the rights to the sequels, a large sum that is necessary partly because of the need to buy out star Daniel Craig's contractual profit participation guarantee. It also helped that director/producer Rian Johnson engineered a bidding war between Netflix, Apple and Amazon for the rights.
Crying in the corner is Lionsgate, which distributed the original film but didn't have any stake in the sequels, the first of which is scheduled to begin production in Greece at the end of June. Casting will soon commence.

Godzilla vs. Kong debuted yesterday in 2,400 theaters to $9.6 million, the best opening day total for a film released during the pandemic. It will expand to over 3,000 theaters tomorrow in the widest opening yet for a pandemic-era film. The film also recieved an A Cinemascore.
The film looks to be heading way past its initial 5-day estimate of $20-30 million.
No word currently on how many views the film recieved on HBO Max.

-Originally wanted it to be called The Challenge: OGs but lost the battle to the network wanting to call it All Stars. They use the term All Stars lightly as it isnt about who's won the most, it's about being memorable, personality, etc...
-Wanted to bring the show back to its glory days where it was normal people competing against one another as opposed to athletes that have infiltrated The Challenge nowadays. Also wanted The Challenge: OGs to last 3-4 weeks as opposed to the 10 weeks or so The Challenge last.

That hairdresser, also a guy, was saying his wife had been vaxx but he was waiting until he could choose, so he could get the 1-shot J&J instead of 2-shot Pfizer or Moderna (Pfizer is what most in our state are getting). The girl hairdresser doing my hair giggled, and I was sighing underneath my mask. I mean, c’mon you crybaby. Anyway a poll shows in descending order that white GQP male are more hesitant to get covid vaxx than any other demographic so please banish them to the covid colony and let them live out their lives alone.
