Elizabeth Frances Duncan Moore, 99, passed away on January 13, 2021, just one month and two days shy of her 100th birthday.
She lived a long, productive, and interesting life starting with her birth on February 15, 1921 in Tankersley, Texas to parents Leon Polk and Minnie Frances Duncan. Elizabeth’s family included 3 brothers and 3 sisters, and they lived in Knickerbocker, Texas. When Elizabeth lost both parents as a child, her older sister, Mildred, helped continue her upbringing. Moving into San Angelo for school, Elizabeth graduated from San Angelo High School and continued with a college education in Business. In May of 1944, Elizabeth married Maj. Frank T. Moore, a bombardier in the Army Air Corp. Sadly in 1947, Frank was killed while on a military training mission when a bomb exploded under the plane. Elizabeth became a military widow and never married again. ....
