The FTC is ordering Amazon to pay more than $30 million in fines over privacy violations involving Alexa and Ring.
The FTC said that “when parents asked Amazon to delete their kids’ Alexa voice data, the company did not delete all of it.”
Amazon reached two settlements with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday, totaling $30 million for privacy violations from its Ring doorbell cameras and Alexa voice assistant devices.
