Union pacific does twice weekly inspections of the track, more so during a storm if necessary. They inspected the track last weekend. Another train rolled through here just an hour before this derailment. But the Investigation Continues into exactly how this might be prevented in the future. San francisco zoo manager denying claims that they are using 2 way radio to eavesdrop on the workers. The teamster representing zoo workers says microphones on the radio can be remotely activated enabling top zoo manager to listen in on private conversation. Held a News Conference at the zoo tonight. I could be on my lunch break i could be on my lunch break. Where i keep my radio with me. And it could just be recording my conversation. There's a ton of news out there about the eclipse, including conspiracy nonsense . . . towns in the path with perfect names, like "Shadowland, Texas" and "Moon Beach, New York" . . . and the best colors to wear during an eclipse are red and green.  They apparently look better in photos.
