happened and what do we know about the suspected gunman? reporter: good morning. frankly, the scene was all-out chaos. it spanned several blocks. police apprehending a 40-year-old man carrying an ar-style rifle, a handgun and a scanner. police say he surrendered and they were able to take him into custody. as that was happening, police also apprehended a second suspect who was apparently returning fire at the suspect who initially opened fire in this southwest philadelphia neighborhood. now, a number of shell casings were recovered at the scene. police will be back at the scene to look for video, talk to witnesses, get any information they can. we know two young victims were wounded in this shooting. a toddler, a 2-year-old and a 15-year-old. a third man was also found in a home near the site of the shooting. police believe he was connected to the mass shooting. again, there is a lot to unravel here as this investigation unfolds this morning. take a listen to the poli ....

and if you are south korean, you are now officially a year younger than you were yesterday. we ll tell you how a new law has changed the way koreans think about age. but we start with the situation in ukraine and the horrifying details of a russian missile attack on a restaurant in kramatorsk. 11 people were killed and rescue workers have spent most of the day going through the rubble, looking for any survivors. kramatorsk is in ukraine s eastern donetsk region. it s under ukrainian control but close to parts of the country occupied by russia. this was the scene after the attack. it was a popular, busy restaurant, with many families eating out before the nightly curfew. dozens of people were injured, the missile also damaged nearby apartment buildings and shops. among the dead were two 14 year old twins, yulia and anna aksenchenko. president zelensky said the attack showed russia deserved defeat. our correspondent andrew harding has the latest from the scene in kramator ....

england and wales, wintry showers clipping the far west of wales and a few snow showers down the north sea coast. the heaviest snow will continue to be focused across the north of scotland and northern ireland. it will stay cold in places, temperature is not expected to get above freezing. tomorrow evening, a line of snow showers forms across the irish sea affecting parts of north wales, merseyside, cheshire and the north midlands. the amount of snow will vary, but you could get a bit in a few areas. into friday, temperatures come up a little, and the showers piling into scotland will turn to rain or sleet, leaving the snow confined to hilly parts of the country. temperatures on the face of it a degree or to hire, not much in the way of change until we get to the weekend, when the south westerly winds will bring much milder air across the uk, but it won t only be mild but it will also be wild with gusts up to 70 mph. thanks, chris. and that s bbc news at ten. 0n bbc one ....
