really appreciate your time. mayor, first to you, you know, we have been reporting on this earthquake earlier this afternoon, i know californians brush this off when it is not that serious of a earthquake but, if you have just tell our viewers and help us out in other parts of the united states and around the world did you feel the earthquake where you are? >> yes and we happen to be at the emergency operations center and so it is the building that is very safe. we are about, you know, 50 miles or so away from the epi- center. but, californians do get concerned when there are earthquakes and it is a earthquake on top of a historic weather experience that we are not used to having in the los angeles area. >> and mayor, what is the biggest concern right now? >> the biggest concern right now is the fact that we know we have not reached the strength of the rain. we know that it could get much

w.h.o. had just said ta europe was a new epi center of the current wave of the pandemic before omicron made its way into the european union. now of the flights that came into the netherlands from south africa, 61 people tested positive for covid when they landed. now authorities are sure that omicron is among those cases. that's just got everybody in a bit of a panic here because vaccines are very low here. relatively, though, i should say they're not much lower than in the united states for the most part. the booster programs across europe haven't kicked off and haven't vaccinated a lot of young people. all that on the back of this new threat of the omicron variant and every single country in europe has a different approach to how they'll handle it. some say we'll put on more maskss and social distancing. in the uk they want everyone tested and into quarantine before arrival. it's scattershot. that's going to be a difficult issue going forward. people like to travel. there are no travel restrictions
