Fenced off now. Its gutted inside and unsafe to enter, except for fire personnel. But for some 40 years its been home to a man, who lived large, until slowed by disability. The smoke billowing out of the house. Reporter neighbors on Avocado Court called 911 and ran to his house, feeling his front doors, hot to the touch. They heard no smoke alarms. Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be any working snohomish detectors that could have possibly alerted him to the fire. He had bad legs. He had a hard time getting away.
