The flooding will continue as waters rise through the next several hours,,but little rain is in the forecast. There is a slight chance for showers late tomorrow night into wednesday. Two of des moines main waterways already sit at moderate flood stage. And they arent going down yet. The Raccoon River is well its already four feet above flood stage. And estimates continue to grow. Experts now expect it to crest overnight wednesday. At 18. 5 feet. That would mean. All levee gates close at water works park. And across george flagg parkway at southwest 18th. This morning, you can plan on fleur drive being closed. The Public Works Department closed it around 3oclock yesterday. Water buildup in waterworks park.
