Families could be reimbursed up to nine-thousand-dollars under FEMA's funeral assistance program. Those who lost a family member to the virus will need to submit funeral expense documents and a death certificate that indicates the individual died from COVID when they apply. Pennsylvanians that qualify can apply at fema.gov.
The federal government is rolling out a lifeline to help families who have lost loved ones to the coronavirus.
Beginning today, people can apply for financial help for funeral expenses from coronavirus deaths through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Program, the L.A. County Office of Emergency Management said.
