Orange Grove Center’s Virtual Lunch For Champions Event Celebrated Diversity In Sport

Orange Grove Center hostsed Amy Bockerstette as the keynote speaker for their Lunch for Champions event on April 29.
Ms. Bockerstette, a collegiate athlete and disabilities advocate, is the first person with Down syndrome to receive an athletic scholarship and attends Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix, Az. Soon, she will make history again as the first person with Down syndrome to compete in a national collegiate athletic championship. She and her fellow teammates will play at the NJCAA national championships May 10-13 in Ormond Beach, Fl.
