After 40 years of working in television writing and production, UC Davis alumnus Grant E. Rosenberg published his first novel, “Gideon” — a murder mystery set in his hometown of San Francisco.
Originally, Rosenberg had drafted “Gideon” as a pilot for a one-hour dramatic TV series but found that a 60-page script didn’t do his story or characters justice. The novel format also gave way for him to explore the themes and emotional impact on a much more complex level.
