Line of Duty star Gregory Piper was almost replaced as Ryan Pilkington when he was re-introduced in series 5.
Line of Duty series 6 may have ended with an anti-climactic revelation of who 'H' was in the eyes of fans, but the series gave us a villain we love to hate for most of the episodes in the form of Ryan Pilkington.
Introduced in series 1 as a young boy working for the OCG, Ryan returned in series 5 even further embedded in the plan and brutally murdered John Corbett.

THE final episode of Line of Duty's season six finally sees bungling bent copper Det Supt Ian Buckells revealed as arch villain H.
It's something that continued to intrigue audiences as detective unit AC-12 pursued their hunt for the corrupt police officer at the heart of the BBC crime drama.

Who is Ian Buckells?
Detective Superintendent Ian Buckells is played by actor Nigel Boyle and was assigned to Hillside Lane Station Murder Investigation Team.
During series six, Buckells coaxed a false testimony out of Deborah Devereux to link Terry Boyle to the murder of journalist Gail Vella.

Line of Duty fans were left "terrified" and "feeling sick" as they listened to a new podcast which teased the final episode of series six.
Craig Parkinson dropped his latest episode of The Two Shot podcast online on Thursday, where he sits down with creatives from actors, to artists, writers and musicians, to discuss their lives and latest work.
Ahead of the final episode of Line of Duty's sixth series on Sunday, with many fearing it will be the last ever episode, Craig sat down with actor Gregory Piper.

As you know, tomorrow night the series finale of Line Of Duty (BBC One, 9pm) is scheduled to take place. It is no secret that this might be the last show ever, then again it might not. Nobody knows anything, as usual. Please consult your folders and be aware we are in an ongoing ACAM (As Clear As Mud) situation.
Worst case scenario? That this might be the last time Chief Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) walks the mean streets looking for bent coppers who don’t follow the letter of the law, while asking God to give him strength.
