The blizzard is over in the sierra. Theyre now cleaning up from it. But here locally, a couple of isolated showers still on live doppler. Seven one crossing through the city and the East Foothills of san jose. We have that rain actually mixing with a little bit of frozen precept in our higher elevation, so were just still unsettled this morning. The showers will wrap up over the next 1 or 2 hours, and much of the day were just cloudy. The snow is wrapping up too, but we have measured the snow in feet. The latest measurements from yesterday had areas in excess of 80in of snow. Well get new measurements this morning, but the blizzard warning it is over. It is cold out there. This morning. Yes, we have a few showers out there but were begin to turn a corner from this system as we look at live doppler seven right now, you can see a smattering of light showers pressing across the north bay out rdmount diablo. That rain snow mix a little pink there, indicating a little snow there about by mount saint helena. Highway 128 129 near napa. Wet weather and over into the east bay. Here some scattered showers around blackhawk and as we get into the south bay, the 101 corridor there, morgan hill and Mount Hamilton, some snowy peaks. So this level one system, we could see some downpours from time to time throughout the day. Gusty winds at times, but overall weve got cold temperatures in the north bay with our frost advisory through 9 00. Loo
Start with a look at our weather. Drew. Yeah it really is incredible what happened in the sierra. That snowstorm is wrapping up. That blizzard warning is done here locally. We have a couple of isolated showers, one crossing into the east bay, moving through san leandro right now. Another isolated shower in the Santa Cruz Mountains are just on the tail end of our weekend storm in the sierra. The snow is wrapping up, but we are dealing with feet of fresh powder. Thats why crews have had a hard time clearing a lot of this snow. Updated snowfall totals will come this morning, but some areas have close to 90in of new snow out of this storm. We still are in this system where the low to the north of us is gng to rotate some showers into the bay area. So level one system, you can see some showers offshore there. They are light. They will ou in santa cruz by aptosrting corralitos highway one. Some wet weather further to the north over into the east bay. 580 in livermore and 680 scattered showers. Mount diablo, some snow there. And this is where we have our winter storm warning for the next couple of hours. A proposal to establish citywide park closure hours in San Francisco was passed by a board of supervisors committee. The legislation would establish closure hours of midnight to 5 am. At most parks around the city. The proposal is an attempt to combat vandalism and Illegal Dumping in parks which cost San Francisco more than 900thousand dollars annually to clean up. Violators would face a fine of up to 100 dollars for a first offense, with escalating fines for subsequent offenses. The legislation will come in front of the full board at its october 29th meeting. The Santa Clara County Sheriffs Office says the streets are a little safer after seizing close to a million and a half dollars in drugs from a san jose home. The bust was the culmination of a two year investigation by the Sheriffs Office confiscating crystal meth, cocaine and heroin. Several weapons and 825 thousand dollars in cash. Detectives believe it is all part of a meth distribution organization. They say the operation is r
