周永开：退而不休的"老革命"-中工人物-中工网

　　人群中有不少是年轻人。达州市通川区一小的少先队员肖钦耀上前为周永开献上鲜花并敬礼。他说，自己从小就听爸爸妈妈说过不少周爷爷的故事，晓得他在万源花萼山种树、为很多学生捐款，这次能够近距离看见周爷爷，非常高兴。
　　在周永开90多年的人生长河中，这样的高光时刻未曾有过。人生的大多数时候，他默默无闻，所做的事情并非自带荣耀的光环，反而很多时候面临着风险和外界的不解。
　　1928年，周永开出生在四川巴中的一个普通农家。因为家里穷，他直到15岁才上学。1945年，17岁的周永开在就读的化成小学加入了中国共产党。
　　在那个年代，入党是冒险之举。他的家乡曾是红四方面军活动的区域，是全国第二大苏区，数万名红军将士在那里牺牲。他也曾听闻过在此战斗的巴山游击队负责人被捕后英勇就义的事迹。
　　即便到了他入党时的1945年，军阀密探还常常在学校活动，试图掌握共产党活动的踪迹和线索。
　　他觉得这个世道“要不得”。而他的老师、地下党员王朴庵经常教授的进步思想，则能回应周永开的困惑，让他仿佛看到了一个新世界。
　　入党对17岁的穷苦少年周永开来说，还有另一层含义。周永开记得，他的入党介绍人、地下党组织负责人王朴庵待他这名新党员“就像对待自己的亲儿子一样”。
　　“我没得衣服穿，他就给我衣服穿。我交不起学费，他就给我交学费。”也就是从入党的那一天起，周永开认定：“我的一切都是党给的。”
　　入党后，周永开从事党的组织工作。随着党的地方组织壮大，引起了敌人的注意，1948年，周永开回到家乡，担任中共地下党巴中县委书记，坚持斗争。新中国成立后，周永开先后担任巴中县委书记、达县地委副书记、达县地区纪委书记等职务，直到1991年6月离休。
　　在职业生涯中，无论在哪个岗位上，周永开都坚持“共产党人不能有私心”，并做好“随时接受组织检验”的准备。
　　上世纪60年代初，周永开任中共巴中县委副书记，分管农业，他大部分时间都在跑农村、下基层，“工作高标准，生活低标准，更没有节假日、白天黑夜的概念”。因此，跟周副书记下乡成了县委机关里公认的“苦差事”，很多人都适应不了。
　　时任县委办工作人员的朱承方刚来工作，他从小在农村长大，自认为年轻且身体好，便跟着周永开下乡。没多久，他就感受到了同事中流传的“同周永开下乡要三得（跑得、累得、饿得）”的说法，周永开为了赶路常常连饭都不吃，朱承方也只好饿着肚子上路。
　　60年后获评“全国优秀共产党员”的时候，周永开应邀给党员领导干部讲话，他说：“解放前为党工作的条件非常艰难，但共产党人依然不怕艰难困苦，甚至不怕进监狱；解放后可以正大光明地为党和人民做事了，更要保持执着的追求、不变的信仰，随时接受组织的检验。”
　　周永开一个广为流传的言论是：“共产党员职务上离了休，但为党工作不能离休。”
　　离休后，周永开下决心投身花萼山护林、造林事业。1994年，他花了数万元积蓄从外地购买了一批树苗，在花萼山上租了两间茅草房，约上另两位老同志一起，开始了保护花萼山的征程。
　　很多人觉得要改变花萼山是不可能的事，认为这位离休老头儿是找不到事做了。然而，这事儿周永开一干就是20多年，他推动花萼山建成了国家级自然保护区。
　　11个乡镇30多个行政村51个组，他走了个遍，挨家挨户宣传保护生态环境的理念。许多村民从反对他到支持他，甚至加入护林造林队伍。现在，花萼山又恢复了绿水青山的原貌。
　　在四川文理学院学生林涛眼里，这位“老革命”其实“思想很超前，很有战略眼光”。今年暑假期间，林涛和同学组成“三下”乡社会实践队前往花萼山地区调研。村民讲述的周永开的故事及亲眼所见的花萼山现状，让这名00后赞叹不已。
　　“在上世纪90年代大搞市场经济的年代，周老能够想到可持续发展，想到要保住绿水青山，而后就会有金山银山。周老还超前做了花萼山旅游规划图，是纯手绘的，到现在都有现实意义。” 林涛说。
　　在周永开固守“离休而不休”的人生信条时，很多人看到了这位“老革命”身上永不过时的一面。
　　“人是自私的，但是周老不一样，他关心的是大家。”在花萼山地区长大的杜成柳回忆说，小时候他家里穷，周爷爷来巡山的时候，就常常来看望他，鼓励他好好学习。因此，学医的杜成柳毕业后选择回到花萼山，服务家乡。“是周老那颗纯粹的党心影响到了我。”他说。
