Boys condition is improving and the search for the Mountain Lion will continue today. Reporter the attack happened not far from the popular winery where the trail begins. The 6yearold boy was attacked from behind. He was basically somewhat dragged through part of the brush. Family members then came to us aid. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. This green shirt he was wearing was collected in order to match dna from the shirt to the cat. He was brought to a place given at appropriate care he went from being in our Trauma Center and is now in fair condition. Region they took reporter they took them to the spot where they found. The animal will be euthanized. It needs to be tested for things including rabies. It is prevalent in Mountain Lions on occasion and to test for rabies, the animal has to be destroyed. And enjo ....

At the hospital right now with his mother and father. Now, this Mountain Lion attack happened a mile up the road here on this popular hiking trail. Along the ranch open space reserve. It happened around 1 00 in the afternoon. The Sheriff Department immediately closed off this hiking trail and other speeding trails in the area.
