Milwaukee county sheriff david clarke ordered the park closed every night from 6 00 p. M. To 6 00 a. M. , following the fatal officer involved shooting of Syville Smith exactly three weeks ago. Following that shooting, eight businesses were burned. Others were looted and two people were hurt. Dozens of arrests were made, triggering the closure of the park and a nightly curfew.
