NH lags behind other states in restricting firearms at polling sites

Concerns about potential voter intimidation have spurred several states to consider banning firearms at polling sites but so far, New Hampshire is not among them. Only a dozen states and Washington, D.C., prohibit both open and concealed-carry weapons at voting locations. Minnesota lawmakers are considering a measure which would force employers to properly classify certain trade union workers and others as employees rather than independent contractors. The bill aims to ensure worker s rights to overtime, minimum wages, safe workplaces and other benefits are protected.
